About This
Site

|
The aim of this Web site is to bring you the latest
news and updates on the interactive CD-ROM program on the
city of Sydney - The Sydney Guide.
The Guide covers the area from the Hunter Valley, in the
north, to the Illawara region in the south, and from the
blue water of the Tasman Sea, to the wilderness area of
the Blue Mountains - an area exceeding 40,000 square
kilometres! If you are planning a visit to Sydney, or
just curious about it, you'll find the Sydney Guide on
CD-ROM is an excellent, fun, easy to use resource that
the whole family can enjoy. The material supplied on
this site is a snapshot of what's available on the
CD-ROM. Because this is a Web site, however, it is not
possible to do full justice to the Sydney Guide, but you
can get a feel for the product by viewing, and reading,
these pages.
You can order the Sydney Guide directly from this
site. All orders are processed promptly and delivered by
airmail. All personal information you supply is totally
confidential, and SSL safe, and will not be divulged to a
third party. All registered Australian companies have an Australian Company
Number - ours appears at the end of this page.

If you already own our CD you may find additional
materials here to supplement that product. Such materials
are free. If you do not have the Sydney Guide then you
will be unable to get the full benefit of these
materials, but you are free to download them anyway. We
expect to add additional pd files to the Sydney Guide in
the run-up to the Olympic Games in the year 2000. These
will be available as a free download that you can enjoy
and print in full colour at home.

The Sydney Guide comprises two multimedia programs, a
150 page (and growing) on-line guidebook, 25 on-line maps
of the city and its main sea beaches, and the Adobe
Acrobat Reader. The multimedia programs feature original
music, by Soundscape, and professionally recorded
commentaries on the city. The commentaries cover the
city's history and its main attractions - from the Sydney
Opera House to Bondi Beach. The Guide shows you the
main attractions that the city has to offer - it shows
you where to go, what to see, what to do and how to get
there by public transport, car, or on foot. This
information will allow you to get the best out of your
visit to the city; but even if you are not planning a
trip to Sydney, you will find the CD is an excellent
reference for the entire family and its great fun to use.
